The notorious Fisherman's Wharf can be found directly at the north of Russian Hill. Once a fishing port, the place now abounds with hockey museums, shopping centers and numerous accommodations. Pier 39 is the area's center of attraction. It's also a gateway for equally popular attractions like the Alcatraz, the Maritime Museum and the Historic Ships Pier.
