 Climate

Manila has a tropical climate just like the rest of the Philippines. There are two seasons: the wet or rainy season, and the dry season. The city has an average temperature around 27°C, but can be very hot during the months of March, April, and May, with temperature reaching up to 37°C. Expect monsoons around the months of July, August, September, and October. December, January, and February are cool, dry months.

Language

People in Manila speaks Filipino which is the official language. Majority of Filipinos speak and understand English. It is not unusual for college or university educated Filipinos to speak impeccable English.

Manila time is GMT+8.

Money

The official currency is th Philippine Peso (P). One Philippine peso is equivalent to approximately $55 US.

Entry Requirements

US, UK, Australian, Canadian, and South Africans need a valid passport to visit the Philippines. No visa for visit less than 21 days.
