Dublin, Trinity College

Trinity College was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I and is Ireland 's oldest university. Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett and Jonathan Swift are among the many distinguished writers and thinkers that passed through its halls.

The complex is made up of impressive buildings and cobbled squares, and the campus of the University of Ireland . One of the oldest books in the world, the famous Book of Kells from the 8th century, is displayed in the Colonnades Gallery, as well as manuscripts from ancient monasteries.
