Dublin, Phoenix Park

Just a short distance from the city centre is Phoenix Park , a green oasis amidst the grind of the city. It is the largest urban park in Europe , containing soothing landscaped gardens, vast grasslands and beautiful lakes. The park is also the home of the Dublin Zoo.

The park attracts fitness-minded locals and visitors, providing the ideal environment for a long walk or a quick jog. People also come over just to relax in a shady spot and watch the city (and the occasional deer) go by.

The official residence of Ireland 's president is also located within the park.
