Arthur Guinness started his brewery in 1759 at St. James's Gate, right in the heart of the city. Today, Guinness is brewed and enjoyed all over the world. Ireland 's famous brew is celebrated at the Guinness Storehouse that recounts to visitors the history behind the beer that has won acclaim around the world.
To cap off the tour, visitors are treated to a pint of Guinness in the Gravity Bar at the topmost floor. From the bar, visitors can also enjoy the 360° view over Dublin and watch the sun go down. Tasting sessions are offered during July and August, and exhibits are held that also feature savoury Irish dishes at the Source Bar and the Brewery Bar.
