Every year, Cairo provides an array of international events. Some of the most attended and proclaimed are:

Cairo International Book Fair

This fair is considered as the largest book fair in the Middle East. This book fair is held at the Nasr International Fair Grounds every January. Millions of books of any imaginable topic are displayed and sold.

Cairo International Song Festival

This song festival is organise under the auspices of the Minister of tourism to promote mutual understanding and friendship among nations through music and songs. This is held every August.

Cairo Theatre Festival

This is an annual festival that gives chance to new theatrical art. Artists from all over the world present new theatrical art in ten days. Held every September.

Pharaoh's Rally

Rally de Pharaon or Pharaoh's Rally is celebrated from late September to early October in Cairo. It is a traditional cross country rally staged in Egypt.

Arabic Music Festival

A month of soulful festivity is held in the month of November or December. It is a festival of Arabic music after the long awaited relaxation from summer's heat.

Cairo International Film Festival

Year after year, Cairo tries to come out with the best possible experience for film critics, fans, and guests both local and international through exhibitions of numerous quality films from around the world.
